i think you are wrong--there have been no public announcements of freezes at ksg; only the DEPARTMENT of government.

Is dept. of gov. on freeze? Does that mean that Harvard will not be hiring in any field this year?

I doubt anyone other than LMJ, Cornelius, and the other usual suspects have gotten interviews at KSG.

the gov dept. canceled both its searches this year (japan/east asia, and IR). many other departments at the arts & sciences faculty at harvard suffered hiring freezes too. unless the dean releases the cash, then expect no hiring in political science at harvard this year.

KSG's searches are still ongoing. Harvard's freeze only applies to the faculty of arts and sciences, of which the Kennedy School is not a part.
