"Clearly from an unemployed ABD. Productivity is way overrated - do you want a prick who publishes a book every two years? Or someone who publishes less but who you can actually go out for a beer? I'll take the latter everytime."
Sigh...
TT or not TT, VAP is the question.

Note the non-denial denial. "I assume you have a job so why wouldn't you assume I do too..." You're an unemployed loser jealous of others in more fortunate positions. I actually don't care about how good Pilon's work is - I worry about my own. So should you. CAN WE GET BACK TO JOB RUMORS PLEASE?
OK, clearly Pilon made a mistake posting here, but I think it's time to move on.
No, I think someone made a mistake attacking him and then attacking him for responding. But yes, let's move on.
On methodologists, one can learn a standard method from a non-methodologist, but it isn't the same as learning it from someone who has thought hard about it's assumptions, about it's costs and benefits. For most non-methodologists, it is just something you do. Learning it from Chris Achen is a revelation. I thought I understood regression before. I didn't. Blais is a great scholar, but I'm sure, based on his work, that he doesn't fully understand regression. That's not unique, but it does make it harder for him to appreciate why some have moved to experiments. This is not a troll. I wish I could do work as good as Blais'.
^Very cool.
