In support of the new rules, I thought I would offer some verfied information (through a third party, who did not get the job): Franklin and Marshall has made an offer and it has been accepted for their CP job.

who got the job?

F&M is a great school, competitive pay, low teaching load. And a great location.

Any "verified" word on Centre, Union, Butler, Hamilton, Bowdoin...

AU, you had me buying it until the "And a great location". I actually didn't apply for a job there a few years ago because of the location: rural Pennsylvania, right down the road from Three Mile Island. Congratulations to the woman who got the job, but as Weird Al (with help from Little Stevie Wonder and Coolio) would say, "She'll be spending most her life, living in an Amish paradise."

Different strokes. No crime, gorgeous surroundings, good schools, low princes housing. Lancaster's tourist location means that it has a lot more of the basics and the luxuries that most rural locations do not. And it's only a few
hours from major metropolitan centers on the east coast.A fine school and a fine location.

Judge not, lest ye be judged. Rural Pennsylvania is unappealing to some, but quite nice to others. Add in that F&M is not a very long way from Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, NYC, or even DC and you have a pretty nice location for anyone who wants rural charm and scenery within a day's drive of several metropoleis.
Who, by the way, is "the woman who got the job"?

So if it is already accepted, why don't we start to hear some names?

Hopefully, the new rules will bring out some names, but I'm going to let the candidate, advisors or F&M choose whether they want to.
