Confirmation email was clear about the mid-March date, so I'm guessing another heartbreak awaits me any day now; my guess is by Monday.

The wait is killing me... Does anyone know how Belfer typically notifies? Email? Phone? Snail mail?

I think email is the norm for Belfer. I was told not to expect anything before March 31st. Ughhhh...

How many applications does Belfer normally get for the ISP predocs/postdocs? It can't be more than 50 or 60, right?

^ Kidding, right? There are probably 5 or so from my top-10 alone this year.

On a second note, sorry for being an A-hole. I'm there with you. My point was that this year should have more applicants than usual. Many in my program held out for the hopes of a better year, and most of them were almost market-ready last Fall. Add that the number of ABDs who didn't get a TT-job, multiple that with the top-50 or so programs ABDs of which would stand reasonable chance at ISP, it should be quite a number.
