It's so slow...

I believe the rankings are actually in the Excel file, not the pdf.
Posted 2 years ago # -
jeez, this excel file is taking forever to download ....
Posted 2 years ago # -
still 42% of the 34.3 MB file

The Chronicle of Higher Education has a user-friendly way to look at program data.

Rochester has dropped out of the top 20!
Posted 2 years ago # -
binghamton is ranked higher than UCLA or Chicago? wtf.
Posted 2 years ago # -
This ranks them in order based on range.
ummm.... Rochester...
Posted 2 years ago # -
Michigan is still too high.

^ sorry, i was clearly reading the chronicle feature wrong. thanks for the link. that's a much easier way to look at it.

Wow GWU has improved a lot
Posted 2 years ago # -
NYU moving up!!
OSU too! I doub't UCSD would hold the spot above them today.
Posted 2 years ago # -
*doubt
Posted 2 years ago # -
GWU is clearly on fire. UVa sucks big time.
Posted 2 years ago # -
ok, i understand the value of placing schools in ranges rather than at specific spots, but OSU being anywhere from 7-20? that's a huge range.
Posted 2 years ago # -
GWU is better than Cornell? WTF. This is obviously wrong.
Posted 2 years ago # -
that new link (phd.org) is different than the data in the chronicle link, no?
Posted 2 years ago # -
^ Between 7 and 20 sounds about right to me. Not CHYMPS but not awful.
Posted 2 years ago # -
If we look at the PhDs.org link, we still have a rank based on the range.
Posted 2 years ago # -
wonder what OSU would look like if the rankings were based on data today; others, also.
Posted 2 years ago # -
still downloading and downloading and downloading
Posted 2 years ago # -
The phd.org is decades old. The Chronicle one is only 5 years old. Your call.
Posted 2 years ago # -
I'm bracing myself for a year of postings solely on the Rochester range alone...

Get off my bandwidth you greedy ****!

no, the chronicle link is 2010.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Hmm. The range isn't the same listed on the PhD.org site. Chronicle view was helpful and range is provided in the top heading once you look at a specific school. Sad day for Chicago. Great day for GWU. Good people there--I'm happy for them.

Their data was from 2005-2006 though.
