Since it looks like the UK system is about to be dealt a devastating blow, I'm betting that there will be a flood of applications from folks over there. Will SCs take these applicants seriously, and move to get a top-flight, proven, scholar from the UK, or will they focus primarily upon American and Canadian products? One issue is teaching structure there, which doesn't prepare UK academics for the US system. They do, however, generally have a more impressive research portfolio when compared to their peers here.
As if the market wasn't bad enough, now this.
