Hello all. I just graduated with a Political Science and Pacific Asian Studies degree and I am wanting to start thinking about graduate school. I understand that I am a little behind the curve, but was hoping I might be able to extract some information from you all.
I am wanting to get an MA in East Asian studies (Korea and Japan) while mixing in some International Relations. I am behind in my languages as I have only taken 1 year of each Japanese and Korean and I have forgotten most of it. I am very willing to start from scratch and graduate later than expected.
So my questions:
1) Is it still possible to get into a graduate program if I don't have the language requirement?
2) What are some good schools that focus on Korea politics/studies and/or East Asian studies programs? I know the best schools, but I am looking for good schools so I can apply to a wide range.
Thank you for your time!
