Central Asian Survey is a good journal but i have never heard of the journal of Central Asian Studies, so it must be bad

^^^^ My favorite is that is not just peer-reviewed, but "robustly peer-reviewed." For years, I have been concerned about the chronic lack of robustness in my peer-reviewed publications. Now, I have a home.

Pres. Studies Quarterly has greatly improved in recent years. (Maybe if I generate enough hype, my tenure reviewers will be really impressed by my PSQ article.)

Revise the paper extensively. Is there anything worth salvaging? Surely you've gotten some comments that might be helpful?
Otherwise I'd kill it if it did not fit into a reasonable niche journal (like area studies journals for CP).
