Thank you brave white conservative men for protecting the rights of Asians. You guys are really awesome and have done wonders for our community forever. We are endlessly submissive and deeply honored by your tremendous respect for our oriental values.
How Asian is "too Asian"?

I think a little discrimination is okay, just not too much or too overt. We boycott NOLA because it's a super DOMA, but we don't boycott DOMA states. Their level of discrimination falls just under the bright line.

dedg, didn't you catch the coverage on Fox News of the massive Tea Party protest against the unfair treatment of Asians in college admissions?

Why do blacks hate Asians?

What gets overlooked in this discussion is most people will not go to a college that is too "white". Significantly, students (from all backgrounds) want "diversity" in their universities. This desire for ethnic diversity is reflected in colleges' advertising.
--This is about the funniest thing i have ever read in print.

probably the most biased article I have seen in a long time. No wonder nobody buys this
shit.Posted 1 year ago # -
That's probably true since you haven't read anything for a long time.

^You must know it better than I do, dumbo.

^4. Agreed! Yeah, universities advertise diversity because that's what students want. This is stupid. They advertise because some idiot with an EdD has told them that diversity and multiculturalism enhances learning when there's actually evidence that scholarly achievement decreases when diversity increases.

^Studies show that all students want diversity in their universities.

Studies show that all students want diversity in their universities.
--If the study showed that all students want diversity, then I guess there really wasn't much need for a study in the first place, was there?

^Especially true at Virginia Tech.

So students don't want diversity in who much diversity students on campus want? If you truly want diversity, then you'd want to be around homophobic bigots and religious zealots (in addition to racial minorities, atheists, gays, international students, etc.)

wow that first sentence got mangled.

It sounds like you can put down "Native American" on the basis of a few family stories (every white person in America seems to claim they have a Cherokee ancestor) and high cheekbones, so why not just do that, if you are worried about affirmative action?

^I'm Asian, can I do that? AA doesn't really hurt whites. That's why they support it.

I'm a white guy who was classified as Asian by my university because my name sounds Asian. I give you permission to claim Native Ancestry (13000 years and a Bering Strait land-bridge removed), since my unique circumstances ensure I do not benefit from AA.I'm also really glad you asked for my permission. It is good to know that, despite decolonization and the rise of Asia, there's still a bit of sentiment for the good old days when guys like me were pulled around in rickshaws and called sahib. Thank you for making an old imperialist happy.

20%: The percentage of single-race Asians 25 and older who had a graduate (e.g., master's or doctorate) or professional degree. This compared with 10 percent for all Americans 25 and older.

Yeah, but what about white Americans, without the watering down effect lumping us in with halfwit blacks and latinos. I love how we can't even single out white America anymore unless it's about shite-ing on it.

Is it politically incorrect to say that Asians are just better at school than the rest?

Yes.

Is it politically correct to say that Blacks and Latinos are worse at school than others?

No.

We're social scientists for God's sake. The first thing we should be questioning is the belief that there's a causal relation between race and intelligence.

Too Asian is when you pronounce "election" and "erection".
