moreover, since there is no EVIDENCE and we area talking about mature men who are now trying to recall events from 10-20 yrs ago when they were kids, their 'witness' testimony is dubious.
Not only was it a long time ago and they may be blurring memories, but also they were children when/if it happened.
Children are not full adults or even full human beings. They are akin to animals in some sense. Legally, one must be 18 to do many things like vote, smoke, go to the army, or consent to sex (for some reason drinking is 21, this seems unethical). They are not in full command of their reason.

Also, if Sandusky had been a woman, say Geraldine Sandusky, who seduced countless teen boys, I doubt there would be such an outcry. lots of teen boys' fantasy is to have an older woman.

This is a serious problem for the University of Pennsylvania State. Abuses in sport was a major reason behind the founding of the Ivy League (as well as Chicago exiting Division I football). No way this won't hurt Penn.

I'm here to clear up a little confusion. Pennsylvania State University-State College is a SATELLITE campus of UPENN, not an extension. Other than a pro forma name sharing, there is little affiliation between them.
