Not yet, but I haven't seen any movement on any of the UC's aside from Merced and Berkeley.

My office mate got a call for more materials.

Wasn't their deadline Oct 1? Knowing the bureaucracy of the UC system, I'd be surprised if the dept has even rec'd the completed files yet.

Exactly. "call for more materials" means, "where are your letters of rec?" No search committee member reading 150 files while teaching and living is looking for "more materials" to read unless it's a letter of recommendation that allows them to make a decision based on reading a paragraph from the advisor.

^^ at my UC it's fairly standard to have our list 2 weeks after the deadline.

Weird department, with most faculty not even doing political science. Such a shame given the location.

cool department, with most faculty thinking and ranging beyond political science. especially great given the location

Very weird department. But hey, to each their own. I'm sure that Rochester and WashU is weird to many segments of the discipline.

^ true true. silly wabbits, they don't realize they need an n>1 sample to know whether quants are worth anything or not

just saw on the Wiki that UCIrvine (which had the same Oct 1 deadline) has their shortlist.

^ what does this have to do with UCSC?

There is no connection between the timing of the UCSC job and the UCI job. The UCs, while operating under the administration of the UC Regents, are vastly different from one another. I wouldn't think anything of the timing and I updated the UCI wiki entry.
