Pretty sure it's still too early, although I did hear the first round of SSRC rejection letters have been out for a while.

NSF will not be making decisions until mid-May. You should be notified by the beginning of June at the latest.

You're not getting an NSF grant, you slack-jawed yokels.

I heard good news from NSF about a Dissertation Improvement Grant by email last year in mid-April.

Don't expect to hear from NSF until mid to late May.

  10. NSF decisions will be made in mid May. You should hear from us, depending on the decision, anytime from mid May to early June. Because of processing concerns, those being recommended for awards will be contacted first.

Well, I haven't received a rejection letter from SSRC... I wonder how many rounds they go through before announcing a final selection.

Keep in mind, the SSRC changed their initial date of rejection this year after the submissions were all in (I have webpage photos of it). It went from mid March, to late March. I got my rejection on or around the 20th, which I still consider "mid." If you have yet to get one, good for you, hopefully you'll get an acceptance soon.

I didn't know they had changed their date of rejection. Probably this means I still need to wait and see...

rumours are that the ssrc is asking for transcripts. can folks who applied last year comment as to how this reflects on the selection process?
