Theory everywhere same shape

really? very strong at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and dominates at Chicago,JHU, etc.
at most top 20 places it is in good shape.
some depts are now shaky in PT though, eg Columbia, Duke, Northwestern, Gtown.Posted 2 months ago # -
All excellent poli sci programs are at least very good at theory. Stanford and Michigan may not be elite theory programs, but they've both got some real strength in it.

The Columbia theory program was already the biggest underachiever at major universities in desirable locations. It just got worse with MS leaving.

The Columbia theorists do not get along among themselves. Hence the early exit of Stilz and the departure of Schwartzberg after tenure.

^given the locations (NY>NJ, NYC>NYC), it can't be for a reason other than the department. But is it just limited to theorists not getting along with each other, or theorists not getting along with others?
