Impressive. Most people have a mix of tier 1 and tier 2 journals. CB is tier 1 all the way. Hit after hit.

That CV is depressing.

So many articles and so little substantive impact.

^Hmm. I wonder if that has something to do with the Americanist cabal that starts threads like "Anyone else here hate comparative politics?"

Incredible? More like incredibly boring.

Cabal is certainly applied loosely these days

Ok you clowns, so Boix is not a perfect scholar who has not accomplished everything a research could dream of accomplishing.
How about you?

I'm not sure if he still does this, but Boix used to teach a intro-to-CP course at Chicago that he called "Politics." And then at faculty meetings--or so I hear--he would berate the Americanists for their narrow "case studies." There was this one junior Americanist who didn't take too kindly to this, and would argue back that nothing in CP had accomplished anything close to what AP had accomplished. Boix is now at Princeton; that junior faculty member is now at Wayne State.
Not trying to make a point, really. Just a funny story. All hail Boix.

I am pretty sure that CV isn't up to date... CB he has a forthcoming JOP and at least one other thing coming out.

I am pretty sure CB is the only person to have won two Riker awards.
